The local fishermen we support populate towns along the coastline. These include Beer , a historic fishing town, unspoilt by modern society. Brixham, which has been at the centre of the area's fishing industry for centuries. Lyme Regis, with a historic cobb and harbour area. Dartmouth, a unique costal town with a cobbled market which supplies fresh local produce.

Huss / Rock Salmon

The spiny dogfish (which is often called rock eel, rock salmon or huss when it is for sale to eat) is a species of shark. It has a dark grey back and light underbelly. It has a sharp spine just before each dorsal fin, which is slightly poisonous. They can grow to over a metre long and weigh to between 6 and 9 kilos. They travel and hunt in large packs (hence the name dogfish). The fish has quite a strong flavour and the flesh is white and very moist.
